Unfortunately, I can be a moody fella, and being moody my wife informs me is not one of my endearing qualities. I have low moments where my introspection GOES ROGUE leaving my self-worth a bit tattered. Just a couple weeks ago I was in one of those funks, but am happy to report I am 'prayerfully' doing much better. Then a fragment of scripture came to mind which led me to a Google search locating... Psalms 8:3-5. 3 When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, 4 Who is man that You are mindful of him, 5 For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. Mindful of me? You see this is my struggle. I believe in God, as from the micro-level cellular miracles of our bodies to the infinite world of the Cosmos it all screams to me... THERE MUST BE A CREATOR. But for me, it is more work to realize this amazing creator cares about me. Who is Jeff that God is mindful of him? So at least for the day, the clouds have parted and I see God as my Heavenly Father, mindful of me. The great creator of all loves me, and I like that. Then to round out my little spiritual exodus the song "Mighty To Save" came to mind. Here are the lyrics. Everyone needs compassion... A love that's never failing... Let mercy fall on me Everyone needs forgiveness... The kindness of a Savior... The hope of nations Savior, he can move the mountains,... My God is mighty to save... He is mighty to save Forever author of salvation... He rose and conquered the grave... Jesus conquered the grave So take me as you find me... All my fears and failures... Fill my life again I give my life to follow... Everything I believe in... Now I surrender Savior, he can move the mountains,... My God is mighty to save... He is mighty to save Forever author of salvation... He rose and conquered the grave... Jesus conquered the grave Shine your light and let the whole world see .. We're singing for the glory of the risen king Jesus This song is about the full circle relationship with God as He intends. No matter if I am lost in introspection or feeling invincible I will need compassion, kindness, and love of the God of our Bibles. He is that loving Father, He is Jesus our Savior, and He is the Holy Spirit who brightens up any DARK and/or hopeless situation. Our God is mighty to Save. May God bless each of us where the realization of a Savior who both moves mountains, and is mindful of each and every one of us. Jeff (child of God) Larson
