Do you know Jesus?

Back Pew Prophesy- In 2024, a church will replace the classic altar call hymn 'Just as I am without one plea' with a QR Code 'easily' scanned by your phone?

Salvation is now just a tap away, empowering each of us to connect with our Jesus in a new, accessible way. Halleluiah!

I am all for using QR codes and other technologies to communicate online Gospel messages and contacts. God's written and spoken word have the power to change lives, but at the end of a church service, offering a QR code altar call makes me cringe. BUT IT IS MY PROPHESY... LOL

So onward to social media where Christian Banter likes to declare winners and 'heretics' while leaving very little ground to just disagree. More frequent than sharing the Gospel message that saves lives are the arguments/discussions with Baptists v Pentecostals, Calvinists v Free Will folk, and Women Preachers yea or nay, OSAS or NOT, Mary is just a woman CHANGE MY MIND, Catholics v Protestants and the 'progressive' church v traditional Christianity.

This leaves very little time for the Gospel

So today, let's take a moment and ask, 'Do you know Jesus?'

For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23)
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

“For, ‘Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’” (Romans 10:13)

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)

You don't need a QR code altar call after all. Who knew?

May God bless you on your journey to pursue God daily and believe that Jesus is your Lord and Savior. May we, as believers, share the Gospel message in word and deed.

The Poultry Pulpit

Our Church History is blessed by great men & women who served and many martyred for the sake of the Cross

In contrast today I see too many 'churches / ministries' led by folk standing behind .. POULTRY PULPITS

Chicken Preachers reading redacted version of God's Word to appease the masses, and
Turkey Preachers subverting God's Truth for fame and fortune. Let me expand below.

Chicken Preachers share often inspiring messages but are short of sharing the Gospel message. Chicken Clergy share 'how to have a better life now' while treating Jesus like our personal life coach rather than our savior. Chicken Preachers believe words like sin, repentance, and salvation are divisive, outdated 'churchy words. Chicken Preachers are more afraid offending society than offending God. They lack conviction and/or understanding on Biblical teachings regarding race, gender, and sex but instead blend with this world's BLM, CRT, and LGBTQ+ agendas like clergy chameleon.
and they ignore Jesus teachings like..
-"Do you think I have come to bring peace to the earth? No, I have come to divide people against each other! Lk 12:51".
-"and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. Mt 25:32", and
-"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. Mt 7:13-14".

This kind of talk would have a certain negative affect on attendance and giving.

Turkey Preachers are fame, glory, and money based 'ministries'. For Turkey Preachers it is less of a calling from God, and more of a career choice based on Enneagram personality test with Benny Hinn financial aspirations. Turkeys Preachers desire to be followed by thousands instead of leading thousands to follow Jesus. Turkey Preachers focus on personal wealth over helping those in need, and spreading the Gospel. Their motto.. The Turkey Preacher who dies with the most toys wins?

Easy Turkey examples are Big $$ Faith Healers, Prosperity Gospel / Name it Claim it folk, self proclaimed Prophets, & red neck adrenaline junkie Snake Handlers.

I want to be clear now, I am not calling megachurches or mega-ministries POULTRY PULPIT PREACHERS'. God bless all (big and small) who focus on the word of God rather than personal anecdotes and jokes. God bless all who serve those in need with or without abundance. God bless all who share the full Gospel Message that we are sinners and all need a savior.

Finally, I pray I am not a chicken or turkey with my faith. Do I live my life with love for God and others? Am I faithful to God's Word in a world that mocks His truths? Am I willing to stand strong in this secular world or do I blend in? Dare to be a Daniel.

That's it. I pray God finds all of you good folk to be bold, faithful, loving for Jesus and involved in a church with a preacher behind a feather free pulpit.

Render unto Caesar?

Render.. to provide or give (a service, help, etc.).

In the days of Jesus, the Roman Empire was the most ruthless political, social, and military power in the land. Their motto.. DON'T MESS WITH ROME, it won't end well.

The religious power at this time was in the clutches of those disapproving rigid rule keepers extra ordinaires.. The Pharisees enjoyed heaping frustrating layers of tedious legalism on top of God's simple, beautiful loving truths. Matthew 23:24

Then along comes Jesus sharing the perfect Gospel message of love and hope. John 10:10

On one day the religious leaders ask Jesus a trick question to trap Jesus with his answer. "Teacher, should we pay taxes to Caesar?".. Jesus replied "Give to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's." Matthew 22:20-22 This was the original drop the mic moment before there were mics.

Meanwhile today in America our government is becoming a 'big brother' political & social power propped up by the main stream & social media. Their motto.. DON'T MESS WITH BIG BROTHER.. just like Rome, it won't end well.

Today's religious powers are a blend of world religions and the progressive 'Church' movement. They promote a collective faith (a higher power). They do not consider Christian Bible is not considered inerrant, and the beautiful truths on life it's pages are revised or redacted to fit their 'tolerant and evolved versions' of truth.

Then along comes the True Church sharing the perfect Gospel message of love and hope. Mark 16:15

So if we are asked a loaded question like.. "Who do you obey?.. Reply.. "Render unto America what is due, but give to God what is God's. Then.. drop the mic.

This blog message was born out of conversations with my wonderful wife Mary. Our country now has a new president and while some are excited America is headed in a new direction, others are very concerned.

Make no mistake there will be big changes, BUT.. no matter which side you are on remember the true message of Hope is in the Gospel message and not in American politics. No need to confuse love for country with love for God, and no need to become confused where our hope lies. It is in Jesus.

It is eternally more important to get the Gospel message right, than to get the tax code right.

May God bless each of you to stay true to the course of the Gospel message and place your hope and purpose in the Gospel message.
