FAKE, Bad, and Good News

FAKE NEWS .. The news phenomena coined by President Donald Trump directed at those news outlets who use a "Ready, Fire, Aim" approach to journalism.  I do believe he is on to something there.  

​Here are a few fake news snippets I gleaned from the evening news shows just last night.

MNN (marines news network) reporter Col. Jessep reporting live from Hunky Dorey Liberal Arts University.. Hey Snowflakes.. 'suck it up buttercup'! Hillary lost and the Donald won J!  YOU WANT TRUTH? YOU WANT JUSTICE?  YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH, SO GO FIND A PUPPY TO HUG!"                              click click
on the TWN (Trump Worship Network) tonight - a panel of four quasi-religious folk PONDER..  While Donald Trump 'may' not be THE son of God .. could he be like Jesus half brother?... or at least a second cousin.

Ok that is a smattering of Fake News that is out there on MY tv each night. Your smattering may vary.

Next there is BAD NEWS.  This could be running out of hot water in your morning shower cuz your wife used it all up in her shower.  A flat tire on the way to work, or that common cold has found it's way to you after you thought you dodged this sneezing coughing runny nose bullet all winter.

Of course bad news can be much worse like a job layoff, illness, or even a death in the family.

Then there is the GOOD NEWS that shouts out any Fake or Bad news.  The good news is that the creator of this world loves us, and sent his son Jesus to offer THE WAY to Heaven for all who would simply believe.  

​Oh, and I almost forgot about TRAGIC NEWS.  Truly tragic news is to think God's GOOD NEWS is just a cute churchy cliche.. and  you would rather follow the clever lyric sung by Billy Joel.. 'and would rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints.'  That would be ETERNALLY TRAGIC.

My prayer is for this world (inside and outside the church walls) to not become bogged down in the Fake, and Bad news. Know there is the promise of God's GOOD NEWS for the here and now, and the promise of Heaven to come.
