Faults

1 Timothy 1:15-16

15 Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. 16 But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life.

1 Timothy 1:15–16 "Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason, I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life."

This guy sits in front of a desk full of his faults…and there are plenty more where those came from! Glaring character flaws, disgusting personal habits, incriminating photos, thought-life volumes, creative ethics… the list goes on.

The Good News… “I am so glad God does not tell me all my faults all at once.” That’s the wonder of grace: Jesus didn’t come for perfect people. He came for the worst of us, so His patience could shine through even the messiest lives — as a living invitation to everyone else who believes.

Feeling buried under your own “boxes” today? Take heart: The same mercy that turned Paul’s worst into an example is available to you. What fault has God’s grace covered in your life that still amazes you? Share below — let’s celebrate His patience together! 🙌
