Route 666
Matthew 7:13-14
13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
Matthew 7:13–14 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”
The world advertises its route as the fun one: “Get your kicks on Route 66… or is it 666?” Wide lanes, fast speeds, endless exits — looks exciting from the billboard. But it ends in destruction: a motor madness autobahn to Hell.
Meanwhile, the road Jesus points to is narrow, less glamorous, uphill at times — but it leads to life. Few find it because it requires choosing His way over the crowd's. No detours, no shortcuts, just faithful following.
The good news? The narrow gate is still open. Jesus Himself is the gate (John 10:9) and the way (John 14:6). He invites everyone: “Come to Me.” Which road are you traveling today? What helps you stay on the narrow path when the wide one looks tempting?
