Like the tradition of watching a Charlie Brown Christmas or It’s a Wonderful Life, I like to share the story of when…

my dog almost ate Baby Jesus.

This story is near and dear to my heart. 

Back in December of 2001, on the icy, snow-covered roads near Hayward, Wisconsin, a young mom with her preschool children in the family car spotted an older man (my dad) with his car's hood up along the side of the road.

IMAGINE the buzz around the coffee maker in HEAVEN.. a little over 2000 years ago, when God's plan for 'saving' mankind was revealed? 

We all think of Thanksgiving, pondering God’s blessings of family and friends, but back on the farm, Thanksgiving is that dirty little secret, especially among the poultry.

SKOSH.. From the Japanese word "sukoshi," pronounced SKOSH. That also MEANS A LITTLE BIT.  e.g.  "I'll have a SKOSH of that pie."

​​SKOSH is an underutilized word, that I don't recall it making it into any Bible Translation. It is implied though, and rest assured, SKOSH will be in my Back Pew paraphrase.

About once a year, I like to share my tale from the Old Days (1965?). Mid-West, but just like any Clint Eastwood Western, i.e.... The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, or The Unforgiven. This story of Justice with six-shooters blazing begs to be retold.

The Christian Bible is a remarkable collection of God's inspired Word, including His mighty deeds. The BIG BANG, parting the RED SEA, and the Great Flood to name a few

But our GREAT GOD also loves us! He leaves the 99 for the one, He sent his son JESUS to bring us salvation from our sins He is my shepherd and much more.

Think of those grey days when it appears the sun will never shine again, but then a spot on the clouds glows and moments later the sun peeks out.  I now see the sun and feel its warmth. 

This glimpse often describes my pursuit of God.

The other day, I had a dream. It was not on the level of Martin Luther King Jr. 's 'I Had a Dream' dream, but it was significant in Jeff's world. 

In 2007, former VP Al Gore won an Oscar for his documentary, ‘An Inconvenient Truth,’ on global warming. 

This is NOT about Global Warming but it is about an even more inconvenient truth.

There is only ONE WAY to Heaven
