Jesus loves ME! Go figure

The Christian Bible is a remarkable collection of God's inspired Word, including many of God’s mighty deeds—a few noteworthy and unforgettable big moments (dare I say, miracles) where God showed up BIG, are listed below.

In the Old Testament, there was the…

  • Big Bang (Creation) Ge 1-2

  • Big Boat Noah & the Flood Ge 6-7

  • Big Red Sea Crossing w/o a boat Ex 14

  • Big Boy (Goliath) v David 1 Sam 17

  • Big Cats & Daniel Dan 6

  • Big Fish & Jonah Jonah 1-2

Of course, not to be outdone, Jesus ...

  • turned water into wine, Jo 2

  • healed the blind, sick & lame, Gospels

  • cast out demons, Mt 8

  • raised Lazarus, Jo 11

  • walked on water, and Mt 14

  • rose from the grave, Lk 24

The Bible is also where God shared much regarding proper conduct for all mankind.

BUT… these Bible lists of Dos and Don’ts are only a clanging cymbal without the truth that JESUS LOVES ME

Jesus loves me; this, I know... is a cute Sunday School song, teaching a great truth… but why does the creator of this world love … Jeff?

Consider that if you attend a mega-church, you are unlikely to have only a one-on-one conversation with your senior pastor. This is not a criticism, but just a fact.

But… In contrast, the omniscient, omnipresent Creator of all things, God, is involved with His creation (including you and me). MIND BLOWN

While humanity often stumbles in the opposite direction.

The Bible's words shout the truth of a personal God who loves us enough to send us his son. From the Old Testament stories of providence for the faithful, the care found in Psalms 23, the wisdom of Proverbs, to the loving example of Jesus on Earth and His death and resurrection for our sins. The book of Acts chronicles the early church that was born after the resurrection of Jesus, and finally, the Revelation to John of what is to come, the promise of eternal life in Heaven (Revelation 22). These, to me, are LOVE STORIES from a loving God to us.

An indifferent God would not be involved or patient with mankind, and it's often our ‘prone to wander’ actions of free will.

So, in this 24/7 world of distractions from our creator, realize JESUS LOVES US and then in response, live out God's two greatest commandments.  Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength as yourself.

The rest is details.

Jeff (Jesus loves me, this I know) Larson

Side point: I bought a coffee coaster that says.. Jesus loves you, BUT I'm His favorite. While this is not true ( He loves us all the same ), I thought it was a cute, smirky coaster.
