Cheerful is the word. Not reluctant. Not compelled. Not “lest we start breakin’ knuckles.”
A tithe, in the old count, was ten percent. Seven is not a moral failure. It is also not a reason to hire consultants. Paul does not send a crew. He asks for a decision made in the heart, before the plate ever gets to the pew.
Giving is worship. It is also none of their business how your face looks while you do it.
God does not need the money. He is not short on cash. He does want the heart that isn’t owned by it. Open hands. No protection plan.
