AND ALL GOD’S PEOPLE SAID … “OUCH!”
Ninety-nine years old. Think about that for a second. Abraham — the father of nations, friend of God — gets the biggest "OUCH!" moment of his life at an age when I am complaining about creaky joints and slow mornings.
Yet he obeyed. No hesitation, no "Lord, can we reschedule for my 100th birthday?" Just faithful trust in the God who promised the impossible.
The cartoon reminds us: When life feels painful or inconvenient, remember Abraham. God asked for a lot… and Abraham said yes. And through that obedience came the biggest blessings in history.
So next time my back aches, my knees complain, or I am facing something hard — I need to take a deep breath, smile, and whisper: "Abraham was 99… I’ve got this."
