"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
-YIKES!
VALLEY? I should be so lucky. Shadow of DEATH?
Psalm 23:4 is one of the most quoted verses in the Bible. It promises the Lord’s presence even in the hardest places.
This cartoon just marks the spot. Sometimes the valley looks more like a low place on the map than a dark shadow, and “you are here” is still the honest location.
The verse doesn’t say the valley disappears. It says you don’t walk it alone.
I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” Psalm 23:4b
So though the darkness and the valley are both real, I pray we all rest in the promise of the Lord as our Shepherd, and I will not be afraid.
