Prosperity Gospel Dropouts
Prosperity Gospel Dropouts
These faithful servants flunked the "name it & claim it" test—bugs for dinner, prison stints, zero bling, serving the poorest.
Only "failures" if prosperity is measured by $$$. Jesus says otherwise: "Store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal." — Matthew 6:20 (NIV)
Prosperity Gospel Dropouts
John the Baptist: locusts & wild honey diet, no fashion sense.
Apostle Paul: frequent jailbird for the Gospel.
Mother Teresa: serving Calcutta's lepers with zero earthly riches.
If "abundant life" means private jets, luxury, and bank accounts overflowing, these are the ultimate dropouts.
But Jesus measured prosperity differently: Matthew 6:20 — "But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven..."
True prosperity isn't counted in dollars—it's eternal, thief-proof, and moth-resistant. What scorecard are we using?
