God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control,

Brother Louie enters the room at full volume. The only thing louder is his sport jacket.

When it comes to boldness, the Apostle Paul asked for courage, not a sport coat. Sometimes he was loud (read Galatians); other times, a quiet witness, which is the answer.

    For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline. … do not be ashamed.

    … speak your word with all boldness.
