Church aka House of God - Reverant & Joyful
In the evolution of the church over the years, we have moved from often very stiff, stuffy, formal worship services to modern church services that are often described as a semi-spiritual TED Talk with a Worship ‘Show’ complete with a fog machine. To me, both extremes miss the mark.
“Yes, the House of God is holy, and we approach Him with reverence (Habakkuk 2:20, Hebrews 12:28). But that doesn’t mean church has to be stuffy and joyless! Jesus used humor all the time (Matthew 23:24, 7:3-5), and Scripture is full of laughter and joy (Psalm 126:2, Proverbs 17:22). God created laughter — let’s enjoy it in His presence!”
