Happy Belated 249th Birthday to America
You don’t look a day over 248
Despite the many problems in my America, I still love my country and pray for God’s blessings.
It's a lot like my family, where we don’t always agree and at times exasperate each other, but when push comes to shove (sometimes literally) we still love each other.
So…
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord…. just as I believe Blessed is the Family whose God is the Lord, and of course Blessed is man or woman whose God is the Lord. Psalms 33:12 (Back Pew extended version)
But, at this point in my blog, it is worth noting that America in 2025 has strayed ‘a tad’ from a ‘traditional Christian worldview.’
You may hear the term ‘traditional Christian worldview’ and be concerned that I am promoting Christian Nationalism.
Well, if by Christian Nationalism you mean marriage is only between a man and a woman, public displays of 10 commandments, the Christian Cross, prayer in public settings including schools, and promoting laws reflecting moral stances (e.g., restrictions on abortion or LGBTQ+ rights), and a land where gender is not fluid. Then… SIGN ME UP.
Honestly, the only alternative to Christian Nationalism is Pagan Nationalism.
So I pray that America becomes a nation where God is honored in both words and deeds, reflected in the laws of the Land, and I pray that Bible-believing churches are full on Sundays.
Progressive churches are like Uncle Sam with a rogue sparkler loaded with TNT. … but I digress. BAM!
I HAVE A DREAM … for America to live unapologetically for God and not coddling Secular values.
Well, I can dream… and PRAY.
I pray for REVIVAL. A renewed Spirit of God in the American Christian community, our churches, and our nation. Imagine our country with renewed fervor among believers, conversions of the lost, and a recommitment as a nation to faith. … Let’s not call it Christian Nationalism, let’s just simply call it Christian. Let’s call it Godly, and then let’s again repeat the scripture truth…
Blessed is the Nation whose God is the Lord. Psalms 33:12
So the question of the day is… Shall we live to please God, or to please man?
It would change the country, and that could make our nation’s 250th Birthday very special.
God bless each of you this day as you join me in offering a belated 249th birthday wish to my Uncle Sam.
