Spiritual Clutter – “Now Where Did I Put My Bible?”

Christian Cartoon of man sitting in recliner lost in the clutter of his life wondering where his Bible was.

TRANSFORMED not CONFORMED

Spiritual Clutter - we all have it

That pile of good (and not-so-good) things that quietly crowds out our time with God — sports, TV, work, social media, hobbies, … endless scrolling…

Spiritual Clutter = Anything that keeps us from spending time with God.

This is exactly why I wrote the new blog post “Spring Cleaning My Spirit 2026” — because physical clutter and spiritual clutter usually go hand-in-hand.

Jesus said the greatest commandment is to:

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” Matthew 22:37

When our hearts and minds are cluttered, it’s hard to love Him fully.

Question for you: What’s one thing that tends to become “spiritual clutter” in your life?
