STORY FROM MY LIFE

As a kid in my home church, I sat with friends (all guys), and none of us could really sing well.

So we asked the old Gospel question, paraphrased from John 9 — just swap “blind” for “flat and pitchy.”

Who sinned? Was it me and my buddies, or Mom and Dad?

We all voted for Mom & Dad.

Psalm 98:4: Shout for joy to the Lord, all the Earth; burst into jubilant song with music.

Important Note: Shouting is not the same as singing. Some folks do both, so the need for a Cone of Silence is real, but this verse focuses on joy; being in tune is a bonus. God can handle a flat tenor, but let me add… blessed is the man who is not sitting near this flat tenor.
