Chariots of Fiber

Senior Cartoon of chariots of fiber seniors race

Ecclesiastes 6:9

Better what the eye sees than the roving of the appetite. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.

At Sunshine Senior Center, the race to the front of the weekly oatmeal buffet was known as Chariots of Fiber.

They felt the need. The need for speed. Walkers up. Eyes on the prize… ‘oatmeal’. No time for small talk, it was GAME ON!

Solomon was talking in Ecclesiastes 6:9 about a hunger that will not sit still. The thing in front of you is better than the chase. These two turned the buffet into a racetrack. And sadly, one of them was downwind of the other one’s wind. Fiber has its own finish line.
