10 Cringy Church Moments

No church is perfect, but some churches are, shall we say, 'more-less-perfect' than others. With this in mind as a cartoonist, I found the need to share 10 Cringy Church Moments. These cartoons may have a tinge of truth, but most are silly, cringy moments from my imaginary church world.

Note: It was difficult to shorten my list to only 10, so I plan to post another list in the coming days.

So there you have it: 10 Cringy Church Moments from The Back Pew. Feel free to share your own cringy memories, and I may be inspired to get out my 64-color crayons and cartoon them.

May the Lord bless each of you with a church home full of God's people to share life. Church is like a marriage; there will be misunderstandings and sometimes hurt feelings, but a Bible-believing church that loves God is beautiful.

Jeff, ....Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. And one by one they laid down their stones and went home. To the adultress Jesus said, go and sin no more. Do not condemn others nor pass judgment on their love for God and belief that Jesus is the son of God, but instead love your neighbor as yourself. Don't get the speck out of someone else's eye when you have a log (of judgmentalism) in your own eye. Faith, compassion and caring for others, with a huge lesson of forgiveness (we all need it), is the measure of a good Christian. All the things in most of these 10 cartoons is very judgmental and off-putting. BLM, as a movement, is simply a recognition of the hate and harm done to a wide swath of the population simply because they have curly hair and make a ton more melanin that I do (Lily white skin, translucent actually). And LGBTQ+ do not harm you in any way (I'm not but I choose to show kindness to others.) The middle east is in flames because they STILL have not learned the greatest of Jesus' teachings: forgiveness and to love each other. Not likely to change your mind, but please try to practice REAL Christian values.

Wow, that, indeed, was a cringy, judgmental response.

So... BLM is good? God affirms the LGBTQ+ lifestyle? and the Middle East violence was because Israel did not turn the other cheek and forgive after October 7, 2023.

The Erosion of the Christian Church is happening. This erosion is where the approval of man is more important than the approval of God and His Word.
