On September 20th, 2002 I was a guest of the Chuck and John show live at the Minnesota State Fair.

Of course communicating cartoons over the radio may not be the perfect medium, but with animated characters like Chuck and John I think it worked. In fact, John would do great voice overs for my Minnesota flavored toons.

During the interview I was able to share.. as Paul Harvey would say "The rest of the story." and point out for example that my wife has had her cellphone go off during church, but was not hit by lightning. cellphones in church.

As gifts to my hosts, I presented John with a S-Noah's Ark Tshirt, and Chuck a Minnesota Mosquito Tshirt along with a copy of the highly popular (in my house) book The Back Pew vol.1.

I tried to convince both John and Chuck to try on their new tshirts, and be VICTORIOUS SEEKER runway models through the center of The Crossroad Chapel. Of course when I noticed the crowd in the chapel picking up stones it became evident they did not get my joke, and heard VICTORIA'S SECRET models. There were only a couple guys that cheered, and they were quickly elbowed by their wives.

I am of course thankful for this opportunity. This event was a highlight to a year where traffic to The Back Pew has grown about 10 times, and subscriptions to my daily emails which started in April have grown to over 900.
